How to grow hair back

How to grow hair back

From the very beginning I didn’t pay any attention to my hair, did nothing for years, and my baldness grew bigger and bigger.
Then I took the situation into my hands and started to try different methods. And I’ve tried almost everything except the hair transplantation. Finally I found a solution and my hair is growing back naturally.

Let me write without going into details how my hair recovery happened:

During the first month I noticed some dark hairs in the areas of baldness.
This added some hope, though I wasn’t any sure that something was going to have positive results.
And I was surprised by the fact that they started to grow back in those places where they had lacked for years.
I also could feel some light and weak hairs, too, and they appeared and appeared.
In those places where there was hair I could feel new short hairs while touching, too, they were just above the skin surface.
I would like to notice that the hair fall out was absolutely away during this month.

The second month. There appeared much more visible hairs, but they were still rare. In some places they started to come out in a group of 2-4. Here I talk about those baldness places, where there hadn’t been any hair for years.
Thin invisible hairs and thick visible ones were felt while touching them, they grew a bit more intensively.

It turned out to be much better after the third month:
Isolated hairs grew more intensively in bald areas, they were visible and rather strong. Weak hairs grew in their number, too, I could feel them or even see when I stood at the mirror at a certain angle.

Further the process developed even more intensively. My hair began to revive and grew thicker. Perhaps it was connected with the follicle recovery period.

Experience showed that new hair began to grow divided into two types. I’ll explain it exampled by one new hair:

The first type:
Hair growth type 1
There appears a weak hair in the place that has been bald for very long. But it didn’t happen instantly, it took about one month, maybe, even longer for others. It is think, almost invisible, but you can feel it while touching. It remains weak for one month or even longer. But it has appeared already, and it’s growing, becomes longer. Then in some time it becomes stronger, darker and more visible. And that’s almost a happy end, but you still have to take care about it.

The second type:

There appears a new hair, that is growing strong and thick from the very beginning. You can see it, it’s thick and stiff while touching it. It is generally a short hair, and it grows back very slow at the beginning, though it is thick (which is good). Hairs of this type appear generally in those places that were not bald. In a period of time you feel that your hair is thick because of these new ones. These strong and stiff hairs appear on bald places, too.

You should understand that there will simultaneously appear dozens and hundreds of hairs of these both types on your head.
Here I shared my personal information and the time intervals, everything is individual.
Other people have almost the same timeline as me, according to the readers’ comments.
I would highly recommend that you check this E-Book :

A Welcome to Nappturality

Written by
Nappturality is all about embracing your NAPPtural, natural hair. Many, many thousands of African American women and women of African descent all over the world have stopped relaxing their hair and are wearing their natural hair proudly. All have different reasons for doing it -- damage, scalp problems, illness, hair loss, finances, curiosity or maybe simply being tired of wasting all day Saturday waiting in a salon. Others saw someone on the train wearing a fierce set of locs, coils or twists and started to rethink their choices.
We're in many of phases of nappturality. We're transitioning, or wearing braids or weaves and thinking about transitioning -- and some of us have just cut off the relaxer and are beginning to learn how to care for napptural hair in the real world. But regardless of how we got here, all of us have these 3 things in common:
  • We want to have healthy, beautiful, natural hair.
  • We want to see pictures of other women's natural hair.
  • We want the transition to natural hair to be as painless as possible.

Where To Start?

Going natural can be a daunting task, but you have already made that first step. You have arrived at Nappturality! We are here to help and support you in your decision to go natural. It is a personal journey, and if you are deeply embedded in the straight hair mindset, you will find the challenges can be daunting at times but the rewards are great if you hang in there. Please visit our Transitioning section, where you will find our more information about your hair, the best to transition for your lifestyle, and resources for assisstance.

If you are still relaxing your hair you are welcome here, however be warned...We don't debate the wonders of relaxing and we don't talk about the benefits of chemical or heat straightening on Nappturality because frankly, there aren't any benefits to using high heat or that caustic chemical. There are other ways to show your length without such damaging practices. But we all had to start our journeys somewhere. And I am glad you chose Nappturality as a place to start to learn.
That said, if you are still relaxing and thinking of transitioning out of the relaxer, you are welcome to ask questions and ask for help and advice. Make sure you tell us your hair is relaxed, don't be afraid to say so. We need to know this to help you.

Just be aware that those of us here who are napptural are committed to being napptural and spreading the word of nappturality. We don't like relaxers. And we don't sugarcoat that fact.
We hope you learn something beneficial from us.

Why Napptural Hair?

Why is the site limited to tightly coiled, highly textured Black hair? The reason it is limited to this hairtype is because we have found that it is the hairtype most feared and vilified in our community. It's the only hairtype we can't stay natural with for long with if we "fear the 'fro.". Napptural hair is the type labeled "bad", nappy hair that needs to be "fixed." This perception needs to change. We need to stop being afraid of our hair. We need to learn about our natural hair. We need to see natural hair worn on women who have embraced it. And the only way we can do that is to showcase our natural hair on its own merit without seeing it compared with other hairtypes.
Nappturality is all about acceptance of our hairtype and not carrying false expectations of what it can or can't be or do.
It's not about taking the easy road and conforming.
It's not about destroying your hair through continual straightening.
It's about accepting yourself and your hair as it was intended to be.
That's what NAPPTURALITY is.

The Secrets to Beautiful Skin
by Cheryl Haining
Everyone wants beautiful skin. Here are some ideas and information to help you have radiant, healthy skin. Start a new skin care program now to ensure great results.
Background Information
Your skin is the body’s largest organ, weighing between two and four kilos. It covers between one and two square metres and completely renews itself every seven to ten weeks.
Your skin reflects your state of health, being soft and smooth when well cared for, or dry and flaky when taken for granted. To have beautiful, soft, young-looking skin, pamper it.
Tips on skin care
  • Drink 2 litres of water daily
  • Enjoy a diet rich in fresh fruit and vegetables
  • Try to have a sound, restful sleep
  • Take high quality supplements, including a vitamin & mineral and an Omega 3 essential fatty acids
  • Practice a daily skin care regime
  • Know your skin type
  • Exercise regularly
  • Keep stress levels to a minimum
  • Limit intake of caffeine and alcohol
  • Avoid excess exposure to extremes of temperature
Daily Skin Care Regime
Men and women will see a marked improvement in their skin when following a skincare plan. Cleanse, tone and moisturise daily. Exfoliate and use a mask regularly.
Cleanse your face and neck, morning and night. Accumulated dead cells, perspiration and make-up mixed with the grime in the atmosphere, clogs up our pores resulting in a dull and lifeless appearance.
After cleansing use a toner to remove the last traces of cleanser, tighten and tone the pores.
Next apply moisturizer. Pollution, sunlight, harsh weather, air conditioning and central heating dehydrates the skin. This causes dry and dull skin. Two litres of water daily will hydrate your skin internally. You should also add moisture from the outside. A moisturizer will help prevent your skin’s moisture from evaporating into the atmosphere. All skin types need moisturizers.
Extras to ensure a radiant skin
An exfoliant removes dead cells from the skin’s surface. This enhances production of new cells. It improves blood circulation, giving the skin a healthy glow.
Eye creams are designed for the sensitive areas around the eye. Choose one that reduces puffiness, dark circles and wrinkles.
Day and a night creams have different formulations to improve skin elasticity, texture and appearance. During the night your skin needs a special cream to rehydrate and rejuvenate skin cells ensuring you wake up with a refreshed, softer complexion.
When showering use a soapfree body wash. This is gentler on the skin and cuts down on cleaning the shower recess!!
Apply a lotion, or spray on, body moisturizer to your whole body after showering.
Follow this regime and you will have beautiful skin forever.
